Btw, I deleted that last Renly/Loras graphic I’d reblogged because it turns out some idiot is just swiping loads of stuff from other blogs and posting it as his own.
Directed by George R. R. Martin. Confirmed 70 minutes.
Actually no, it’s not confirmed as that. Some sloppy reporters didn’t check their facts. It’s 64 minutes. Episodes are usually about 54 minutes so when they say ten extra minutes, they mean the total running time is 64 minutes. It’s on the HBO schedule.
But it’s still being directed by George which is A+ for obvious reasons
It’s being directed by Alan Taylor, who directed a few other episodes, incl. Baelor & Fire and Blood.

STANNIS IS THE TRUE KING: tumblrofthrones: ahappychildhood: tumblrofthrones: I know that there…
I know that there are totally valid reasons to dislike Ros’s use as an exposition and for being an underdeveloped character, but it feels like so much of the criticism has this nasty undertone of judgment and disgust. Just…
Take, for example, the scene with Ros and Pycelle in last season’s finale. What did we get from it? Why not, instead, focus on making Robb’s coronation (okay, it’s not really a coronation because there was no crown but whatever) longer, and having Catelyn SAY something there, and there being an actual debate until the Greatjon decides to declare independence from the Iron Throne?
The purpose of that scene was to remind everyone of the Targaryen back story about dragons and their words, Fire and Blood. It was the title of the episode, and of course it ended with the birth of the dragons. Showing Pycelle was a player in his own way was just a bonus.
And she isn’t stealing screen time from anyone except for Chataya and Alayaya. Having her doesn’t keep out the Reeds or some other people. She serves a purpose. If it weren’t her in the scene, it would be some anonymous featured-extra character. And none of the screen time reasons mean much to me when people are wishing death on Ros, wishing she’d be given to the Mountain, etc, and people being generally gross about her. There is so much sexist bullshit attached to the judgment of her.
I know that there are totally valid reasons to dislike Ros’s use as an exposition and for being an underdeveloped character, but it feels like so much of the criticism has this nasty undertone of judgment and disgust. Just really puts me off, especially since you rarely see people jump on other exposition scenes- just the ones involving Ros.
I think my only issue with ros was her replacement of two roles that should have gone to POC. I understand that they can’t cast everyone but this was a complete letdown because alayaya and chataya were strong females who owned their sexuality and ran the brothel.
Oh yeah that’s an issue. But I’m not talking about people who would’ve preferred Alayaya and Chataya (Actually I would’ve preferred them too.) Guys who don’t even care about those two women ranting about Ros having screen time and wanting her killed are my problem. Makes my skin crawl.

she hasn’t even been naked this season but she’s still getting slut shamed, ugh
God yeah, I’ve seen so many comments this season about ‘naked Ros’ and she hasn’t been unclothed once, not that she deserved shitty comments even when she was nude more often. I’m seriously icked out by people who every time she comes up, they hope for her death. Not that she’s written out, but that she’s killed. Some fucked up fools running around the internet.

Those were his own men trying to save him.
