We’re certainly not going to reblog silly posts mentioning that it’s no big deal to recast Gregor Clegane…

That would only encourage the trolls who post foolishness like that. Instead I’ll post a side by side comparison of the massiveness that is Conan’s Gregor and the wimpyness that is Ian Whyte’s Gregor. Sadly, Ian Whyte’s portrayal of the Mountain just seemed silly after Conan’s incredibly impressive fight scene in season one. In fact, the majority of people who communicated with us were unable to figure out that he was the Mountain. He seemed like just another guy.

It’s not about previous lines delivered. It certainly wasn’t Conan’s fault that he was only given one line. Perhaps if you took the time to seek out his other work, you’d find that the man is a qualified actor, whether through words or through actions. Ian is a stunt man. Conan is also far more qualified to perform the fight sequence against the Red Viper, due having 2 years of study in full contact medieval weapons fighting through the Society for Creative Anachronisms, as well as 12 years freestyle fighting experience. Oh and just in case that’s not enough, he’s also a MENSA member.

So before making silly statements based on only your own ignorant opinion, why not do a bit of research and see if the actor you’re dismissing might not just be more qualified than you thought.

I have no problem with Conan Stevens. I’m aware of all his qualifications. The man moved on to bigger and better roles, so you know…get over it.
