I LIVE for Varys’s face.

tea-tigers asked: "I must say your Conleth Hill appreciation always makes my day (I have a lil' thing for him too) he was awesome, as per, on Suits wasn't he!"

Conleth in general is awesome. Put a suit on him, and it’s ridiculous.

giodudez asked: "Which actor in the GOT series best portrays their character in the book in your opinion?"

I feel like the best book and show match is Varys (Conleth Hill). Maybe the book’s was a touch more feminine but it’s a small distinction. The character is so unique and he just nails it.

Anonymous asked: "Who do you think were the best cast actors for the physical descriptions in the novels? My personal favorites are Gwendoline Christie as Brienne and Rory McCann as Sandor. Who are the worst cast physically? I'm going with Iain Glenn as Ser Jorah who is way too good looking."

Christie and McCann are great physical matches. Conleth Hill as Varys is another one, and I never thought they’d find someone who could pull that off. A lot of the characters are very close to the physical descriptions with one point like hair not quite matching- for example Barristan Selmy. Worst- yeah, Iain Glen is nothing like Jorah. Gethin Anthony looks almost nothing like Renly as described. Natalia Tena is way different than Osha. That said, I like all those actors so I’m not actually complaining. I’ve always been big on not nitpicking over the appearances. It only truly matters to the character in a few instances, like Brienne or the Hound or the Mountain or Tyrion.

A Song of Ice and Fire 30 Day Challenge

-Most accurately portrayed character on the show

Varys was one character I never found a satisfactory fancast for when I was imagining the show, because he’s so odd and unique, I didn’t think anyone could really match who was in my head after reading the books. Then Conleth Hill came along and turned from a hairy northern Irish guy to a brilliant, funny and slithery bald eunuch before my very eyes. And it was perfect.

Varys!!!!

#there’s a certain list of characters who I’m having more fun with in the show than in the books and he’s on it

Idk, the books alone already turned me into a pretty hardcore Varys stan but yeah, Conleth Hill for ALL the awards, his acting really is the icing on the cake

I think TV-Varys in on par with book-Varys. The actor is perfect, and has mastered Varys’s book-trolly ways. Those faces!

Varys makes the best faces.
