I love Iain Glen as an actor, so I don’t care he’s not ugly. No complaints at all, he is fine as hell.
Rory McCann is playing the Hound in a gruff, low-key way, which is fine. But I think that because we almost never get to see the ragey Sandor, it’s coming off stiff. If he had been given the monologue of his burning like we saw in his audition tape, it would be a different story. He is capable of more. I hope they let him cut loose more next season and stop giving all his lines to Littlefinger.
Conleth Hill is my favorite. Worst? There isn’t anyone that I think absolutely sucks, acting-wise. I’m not bowled over with Carice van Houten as Melisandre. She’s not terrible, but she doesn’t freak me out or give me a sense of much power. She’s beautiful but has more charisma as her own self in interviews.
